There are so many products out there that you can use as for body wash such as shampoos and soaps. According to certain people, more than 10,000 substances and chemicals are found in personal care products but only 13 percent of them are considered perfectly safe for daily use.

The federal or state government can only have little or no regulatory control over the production of such products that is why we will never know for sure if a certain product contains excessive amounts of dangerous chemicals. Good thing that there is an alternative to these chemical based products. And this alternative may in fact, be a better choice. Organic body washes are now available for your daily use. These products are completely natural and are safer for daily use.

But a person must be wary of some products that claim they are “natural”, always check the label and see if the product has only organic ingredients. Only if a product is 100% organic then it can be considered natural or organic.

Lemon Mask: A Simple DIY Acne Remedy

Here’s a simple yet one of my favorites DIY facial mask, have done this as a gift to my brother who has suffered acne since puberty:

* Crush 6-12 non-coated aspirin in a bowl. Aspirin has Salicylic acid, that exfoliates and helps clear up (acne) break-outs.

Then add 1-2 teaspoons of an acid like lemon juice to make a paste. Lemon juice has a pH around 2.8. Leave this mask on the skin for 5-15 minutes. This mask might sting any open areas of skin like cuts or open pimples on the face.

Follow with applying the neutralizer– 2 teaspoons of baking soda!

Your skin will love you — and you may also have a surprisingly fresh scent to go along with your clearer skin!

Jojoba Oil: The Truth Defined

Technically jojoba not an oil, but a wax ester (a liquid wax) rich in the anxtioxidant Vitamin E, and it comes from the jojoba plant. Jojoba is a natural ingredient that is extremely similar to your face sebum. It is non-comedogenic so it shouldn’t clog pores. Jojoba oil is also 100% organic, and it only contains one ingredient (I’m not sure if all jojoba products are organic, but most of them are)! This is great new for people that are extremely concerned about putting chemicals on their faces. Jojoba is supposed to be very stable, despite being preservative-free, so it shouldn’t go rancid.

Besides being a great natural moisturizer, you can also use it as a makeup remover and lip balm. I haven’t used it for either of these things yet, so I don’t know how well it works for that. I am scared to use it as an eye makeup remover, but I hear it does work well. Just read the individual label for the product you buy to see if it’s safe for use on your eyes. Jojoba oil can also be used for shaving, as massage oil, and as a hair conditioner or for a scalp massage.

Organic Soap for Sensitive Skin

Do you have sensitive skin and are prone to developing irritations when using regular soap and other skincare products? The best alternative that you can use is organic soaps and products as these are made from all-natural ingredients which are safe and mild on the skin.

The main difference with regular and organic products is that organic products have very few or almost no harsh chemicals incorporated in them. These chemicals are the ones responsible for causing skin irritations and other complications that may arise from using soaps and other skincare products. These chemicals are usually present in skincare products because they may be cheaper to use, or they provide slightly better results compared to their natural counterparts. Unfortunately, these chemicals have pronounced side effects for those who have sensitive skin, or can cause skin to be sensitive during prolonged use.

Another downside to using regular skincare products is that these chemicals are non-biodegradable; this means that they take a very long time to be degraded. So unused products that are thrown away take very long before they are incorporated into the soil. This adds to the trash in the environment. Organic products on the other hand, will degrade very easily as these are made from natural ingredients. This makes it environment friendly even when thrown in the trash. With these characteristics, organic products are definitely better for both your body and the environment as well. These may cost a bit more than regular products but its advantages definitely outweigh the disadvantages.

We are always taught what to do and less of what to not do. So here are some things that you may want to avoid doing to achieve that healthy glowing skin.

1. Do not exfoliate everyday to remove deep seated dirt.
Some facial exfoliants claim that they are safe for everyday use. That is so not true. Exfoliating your skin everyday may cause skin damage. It could also make your skin super tight and dry which is bad. It is ideal to limit face exfoliation to once a week, and two at most.

2. Do not use ordinary bath soap on your face.

5. Do not undergo several facial treatments in a short span of time.

Facial treatments offer a lot of benefits to the skin when done properly. Avoid having facial treatments everyday as this may damage your skin. Let your facial skin cells regenerate and breathe before sloughing them again. It is best to undergo treatment once every two weeks or even once a month.

Guide to Buying the Right Skincare Products

Nowadays, there are over thousands of skincare products manufactured and sold in various markets worldwide. Products as such are continuously booming due to the increasing demand for skin care treatments and products by beauty-conscious men and women each year.

Now, if you are thinking of using all natural skin care products for your everyday personal use, remember that there are a lot of things to consider when buying these kinds of cosmetic/beauty items. You just can’t go and grab the first natural skin care product you find in the mall or store. See, not all organic or natural skin care products are legitimate or certified. Note that hundreds of such products are distributed and sold in many markets.

As such, below is a guide for consumers on purchasing all natural skin care products:

1. Determine your skin type.
The first thing you need to do before heading to your nearest beauty and health store is to know your skin type. This is really important since all skin and beauty care products are developed to match certain skin types. Hence, if you just use any type of product without knowing your skin type, irritation, blemishes, dryness, and other complications may happen to your skin.

2. Talk to your dermatologist.
Another important thing to do before shopping for natural skin care products is to talk to your dermatologist first. Your doctor can tell you what skin type are you. Upon confirming this, your doctor can then tell you of the skin care variants that are applicable and safe to use on your skin.

3. Read product labels carefully.
Determining what skin type you are and you already know which skin care variants are applicable to your skin, you are now more than ready to shop for the all natural skin care products you need. Once you already found your prospect products, read and compare all labels carefully to know which one best suits your needs.

In addition, reading the product labels carefully is a good way of determining which ones are hoax and certified products. Remember that not all products claiming to contain all natural ingredients are purely organic. So it really pays off when you take the time to study the product labels first before purchasing any product.

4. Never ever fall for the so-called “miracle” skin care products.
There are numerous skin care products in stores today that pose false advertisements of their so- called miracle ingredients. There are really no such thing as miracle ingredients in beauty and skin care products. Majority of these hoax products promise immediate results to consumers so better stay away from these products. Remember that what we damage throughout the year cant be undone in just one night or 1 week...it takes time...

Why do Japanes have great skin?

It may be more of what they are eating that is preserving their bodies for such a long time. Let’s take a look at diet as a factor in maintaining youthful looking skin.

Discovery #1: We are always being told that we have to eat fish two to three times per week in order to ensure that our levels of omega-3 are where they need to be in order for us to maintain our healthy bodily functions.

Including a lot of fish in their diets probably plays a huge role in Japanese skincare, but it also plays a role throughout your other organs and tissues also. That is why it is advised that anyone who can’t eat fish take at least some sort of natural oral omega fatty acid supplement.

Discovery #2: The Japanese also eat a lot of these vegetables, along with kelp and seaweed. It is simply no wonder that these people look as young as they do with all of the fatty acids that they consume.

One company uses a type of sea kelp in their skin care products that can only be found in the Sea of Japan, which the Japanese have for centuries touted as their number one anti aging skin care secret. For more details see author box below. It raises the level of hyaluronic acid in your skin to levels much higher level than normal for your age group.

So now you hold the secret to Asian beauty in your hands
